Domaine Les Hautes Nöelles, Gros-Plant du Pays Nantais sur lie, France (2003)
Dry, light, low acidity Fairly neutral wine. Score 1.86 (€7.00)
Domaine Binner, Riesling, AC Alsace, France (2002)
Medium dry wine, darker straw yellow showing some age, aromas of lycee and slight petrol on the palate. Score 2.98 (€13.00)
I Clivi Galea, Orientali del Friuli doc, Friuli Italy (2001)
Clear, almost water white, weak flowery aromas. Clean, dry wine. More coming across on the palate then the nose, flavors of violet but they do not linger. Score 2.49 (€20.00)
Chateau de Lancyre, Coteaux du Languedoc, France (2004)
Attractive salmon pink color. Fruity strawberry aromas, with the same coming across on the palate. Very nice summer wine can imagine my self drinking away on a hot summer day. Score 2.34 (€8.00)
Les Foulards Rouges, La Soif du Mal, VdP, Côte du Roussillon, France (2004)
Made from predominately Syrah grapes the wine exhibits black fruit flavors. Nice wine for a BBQ. Score 2.6 (€13.00)
Hervé Souhaut, Syrah, VdP Ardeche, France (2004)
Slightly earth on the nose with some slight notes of pepper and dark berries. Medium bodied and medium concentration. Nice. Score 2.26 (€15.00)
Côte Rôtie "Cordeloux", Bénetiere, Côte Rôtie a.o.c. Cordeloux, Rhone, France (2003)
This is a tiny producer with a total of 2 hectares. The quality is high. Made from Syrah and Viogner it is a concentrate well balanced wine. Score 2.96 (€39.00)
